I laughed when I typed the title for this month's Legacy. If you haven't reached a boring season in your life on your job... your ministry… your marriage… your walk with Jesus… anything you do repetitively... you haven't been doing it very long. One of the biggest challenges if you're going to be good at something is being able to successfully navigate the boring times. Part of the journey for me in these wonderful, wonderful decades of fulfilling full-time ministry has been teaching myself how to handle the boring times in my own life.
So that's what this month's legacy is about. "BORING: When Life and Ministry Go Blah." Don't you relate to that? I laughed even as I typed the title. If you haven't reached a boring season in your life on your job, your ministry… your marriage… your walk with Jesus… anything you do repetitively... you haven't been doing it very long.
If we want to be more than good in ministry, but for the Lord's honor want to be great, we too must intentionally and strategically shake up our routines and take care of ourselves.

In this Message, "Boring!" I'm developing a mantra with my students for impacting our world. It can be summed up in three words: VISION + ENDURANCE = CONQUEST.
Today's culture often lives by the mantra, "If it feels good, do it!" But we all know that being led by our feelings is a ticket to spiritual disaster. That's why this Message is so strategic. The focus is trying to help us walk consistently with the Lord, no matter what we might or might not be feeling.
